We are recruiting!

Albert & Friends Instant Circus  is looking for a Youth Circus Manager. This is a unique opportunity combining both teaching and coordination functions.

A teacher or an artist, you will join a well-established arts charity offering participation in circus to 500 young people weekly in the West London area.

You will have the ability to stimulate and challenge young people creativity through circus while maintain a high standard of safeguarding, health & safety, and equality.

You will impact the lives of young people of all backgrounds and abilities, including our Youth Circus Troupe, students from Special Needs Schools, Pupil Referral Units, areas of deprivation in West London.

The role requires driving a van to the locations of delivery and a valid driver’s license is essential.

This is a fixed term 6 months contract with the possibility of extending pending funding outcomes.

Closing date: 4th of August, 2017

Interview date: 10th of August, 2017, a micro teaching session will also be organised

Freelance practitioners

We are also looking at expanding our pool of freelance circus teachers for the delivery of our extensive programme of youth circus in West London.

We are looking for enthusiastic practitioners, passionate for circus arts, and with a proven track record of quality teaching in a participatory, inclusive setting. In addition to circus and movement based skills, practitioners must hold a valid DBS check. A valid and clean driver’s license will provide more opportunities as AFIC delivers its programme in various locations, travelling by van with equipment.

The work involves teaching weekly sessions in various schools and community centres, but also contributes to creating performance activity for young people, in particular our Troupe of young performers.
