THE BIG YOUTH CIRCUS (BYC)
London 2012 provides a unique opportunity to showcase the considerable influence learning circus has in assisting young people to reach their full potential.
Participating in the Olympic Games is the sporting pinnacle of an individual’s endeavours, celebrating physical endurance, strength, commitment and national pride. Youth circus in all its forms aspires to achieve these ideals celebrating art and culture which is the inspirational bedrock for the development and continuing growth of youth based arts.
The BYC is:
- a unique, intergenerational event
- a fully inclusive activity for all
- multi-cultural and collaborative, bringing together national and international artists
- inspirational, achieving excellence by learning from each other and sharing good practice
